Support For Every Season of Becoming
Los Angeles doula care that meets you wherever your journey leads, offered with warmth and compassion, for every kind of person and family. Hatch and Bloom offers inclusive, faith-filled, and evidence-based doula support across the full spectrum of the reproductive experience — conception, pregnancy, birth, loss, postpartum — and every unexpected turn along the way.
Who We Are
Hello!Hi, I'm Chandler (she/her) — the full-spectrum doula, childbirth educator, and full-time student midwife behind Hatch and Bloom. Birth work isn't something I discovered; it's something I've always known I was meant to do. My path here is shaped by a deep desire to become a mother myself, a lifelong love for children, and a genuine ambition to show up for people during some of the most transformative moments of their lives. I'm an LA native, and I believe deeply in community and the power of being supported, encouraged, and uplifted during a season as vulnerable as a family-planning journey. It's a privilege I don't take lightly to walk alongside people on that path. Before beginning doula work, I've been a nanny for six years now, caring for babies just days old up through teenagers, experience that grounded my love for kids and taught me how to show up for families in the small details that matter most. I completed my doula training through Doula Trainings International (DTI) in September 2025 and am now in my first year of midwifery school, building toward a deeper role in reproductive health and birth support. When I'm not with a kiddo, a client, or buried in coursework, you'll usually find me exploring new parks and trails with my four-year-old Boxer/Pittie mix, Tiger, or curled up watching a movie at home with my partner.

My Philosophy
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: every birthing person already holds everything they need to bring their baby into the world. My role isn't to hand you power; it's to remind you that it was never gone and to help you unlock the inner knowing and intuition that only you carry about what is right for you and your family. As a student midwife, my approach leans heavily on the midwifery model of care: holistic, relationship-based, and rooted in trusting the body's innate wisdom rather than defaulting to intervention. But my philosophy isn't about a "right" way to give birth or parent; it's about your right to choose. I believe in informed consent and shared decision-making, so you can understand all your options and make choices that feel right for you. Whatever path you decide is best for you and your baby, I will show up fully in support of that decision. At the end of the day, the details matter far less than how you feel: safe, seen, heard, and cared for. My services include continuous pregnancy and birth support throughout labor and birth, postpartum care for you and your baby, sibling care while you’re having your newest addition, loss support, as well as general reproductive events such as fertility appointments or that pap you’ve been putting off. I am here to answer questions, provide evidence-based information, and offer emotional, physical, and practical support at every stage of your journey.
My practice is trauma-informed at its core. I want every person I work with to walk away from their reproductive journey feeling more at peace than when they started, not more wounded by it. I'm comfortable supporting all methods and outcomes of pregnancy, including IVF, parenting, abortion, loss, and folks who are still unsure about their journey — you deserve support without judgment, no matter which path you're on. I'm also committed to improving birth outcomes for my whole community, not just the clients I get to work with.
I also bring my full self to this work, including my faith. For clients who share it, I am pleased to incorporate prayer and faith-based support into our time together. However, my care is never based on shared beliefs, and I am always fully present for each client, regardless of their spiritual background or lack thereof. To me, committing to meeting people just as they are is one of my most important values as a birthworker. Every individual and family deserves care that is fair, compassionate, and free from judgment, and that respects all kinds of family structures, genders, and identities. I welcome and support all birthing people and families, including those in LGBTQ+ relationships, single parents, and people who have their own definition of family. That is the standard I always hold myself to.
